School OfficialsCommitted to helping students achieve their goal of obtaining an international education, the International Education Finance Corporation provides loan programs to assist students in financing their studies throughout the world. To date, we have helped over 20,000 students realize their dream of studying internationally.
IEFC was created with two primary goals:
- To provide educational funds to assist US students studying at over 400 institutions outside the United States, as well as Canadian and international students studying in the United States.
- To provide services, which help students and schools complete the financial aid process.
To meet these goals we provide the Stafford, PLUS, International Student Loan Program (ISLP) and CanHELP loans. For individual detailed descriptions of our loan programs, please click on the appropriate student citizenship status above.
Services for Financial Aid Officers and School Officials IEFC is here to help students with the loan application process but we are also here to assist school officials in their work with students. We can provide assistance in the following areas:
- Loan status for students
- Providing information about terms and conditions of the loans
- Answering questions about individual students applications
- Troubleshooting on behalf of students with the guarantor
- Providing guidance and assistance to students throughout the loan application process
- Providing information to institutions on the approval process once a loan application has been submitted
- Provide loan application forms and guides for the financial aid office
- Provide resources with government and guarantor agencies
- Provide outline of entrance and exit interviews
