How do I get started?
- Complete a FAFSA form at www.fafsa.ed.gov

- Apply online or download an application
- Please note - You should apply first for a Stafford Loan prior to your PLUS
- Complete your Stafford MPN (choose a lender and download the PDF file or apply online)
- Complete your PLUS MPN (choose a lender and download the PDF file or apply online)
- Complete your IEFC PLUS Loan Worksheet (1st page of PLUS PDF). Click here for help on completing the PLUS worksheet
- Remember to keep a copy of all documentation submitted to your institution for your records
Eligibility
- U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or qualified non-Citizen
- Attend a Department of Education approved institution. (See the PLUS Eligible School List for approved schools)
- Must be at least half time enrolled in a Graduate or Professional degree program
- NO Bankruptcies
- NO Defaulted loans
- NO Payments overdue by 90 days or more
